Meet Cecil!
Cecil, chained in a garage when he was found.
Cecil is a six-year old male wire who was released to rescue after being left alone chained-up in a garage for days at a time. Seems his people were getting a divorce and Cecil was caught in the middle and essentially abandoned.
After shaving down his thick, dirty mats, he was treated for skin sores and an ear infection due both to the filthy condition he was in and malnourishment. He was soon on the road to recovery, but one thing has hindered him from fully enjoying his new life. Seems that Cecil has cataracts so badly he is left with merely 10% of his vision. This fella deserves better! He's a wonderfully sweet little wire who is going to make a wonderful companion for some family, but we would like for him regain the confidence that having his eyesight will restore to him. Cecil needs surgery to correct the advanced cataracts that affects both of his eyes, the surgery is estimated at roughly $3000. Please help us restore his eyesight and indeed, the light into his life. FTN's Rescue Fund wants to help him see again, so we are asking for your donation to help pay his vet bill. You can send a check, any amount will help, to: FTN - 1237 Monte Vista Drive, Riverside, CA 92507 or pay though PayPal with your credit card by just clicking on the PalPay logo below. Put "Cecil" in the memo line.Cecil will appreciate it!

WHAT IS THE
FOX TERRIER NETWORK?
Donate to
FTN Now!
What does your donation do?
Many of the dogs that come into fox terrier rescue, in the east, south and Texas, are Heartworm positive. Heartworms come from the larva of the mosquito, and can infect the dog. Untreated the dog will slowly get sick and die. The adult worms migrate into the heart and damage it to the point that it can no longer work. The treatment can be up to $500. and the dog must be kept confined and quiet. This is not easy with an active Wire or Smooth! Someone has to be willing to care for the dog during this time and keep him as happy as possible, but never allowed to run around. Fox Terrier Rescue workers do this all the time to save a fox terriers life. The FTN Rescue Fund, is here to help pay for these treatments. Without it, many would die a slow death. Your donation goes straight to the Rescue Fund to help these dogs.
WHAT WE DO
July...."OK, it's hot now. Napping becomes one's favorite activity this month. Preferably with a nice fan overhead, and a comfy chair underneath. This is also the month when those humans go on their dreaded "vacation", meaning you get to go to dog-jail. Maybe this year they will take those nasty fireworks with them, and leave us in peace. They will pay, when they get back, they will definitely pay."

DOG LETTERS TO GOD
Dear God: If we come back as humans, is that good or bad?
Dear God: More meatballs, less spaghetti, please.
Dear God: When we get to the Pearly Gates, do we have to shake hands to get in?
Dear God: We dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent IDs, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths. What do humans understand?
